Words of Wisdom on Christmas
If you need a refreshing thought, idea, slogan, or profound nugget for an upcoming meeting, presentation, or lunch room bulletin board, take a look at the following words of wisdom on attitude. Don't miss our other categories of Words of Wisdom. Random Thoughts on ChristmasChristmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful. A three-year-old gave this reaction to her Christmas dinner. "I don't like the turkey, but I like the bread he ate." Christmas is a time when you get homesickeven when
you're home. He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find
it under a tree. One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess
created in the living room on Christmas day. Don't clean it up too quickly. Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in
a conspiracy of love! Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you
stop opening presents and listen. When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the
simplest thingsnot the great occasionsgive off the greatest
glow of happiness. Three phrases that sum up Christmas are: Peace on Earth,
Goodwill to Men, and Batteries not Included. There's nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas
morning and not be a child.
Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions
of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of
his youth; that can transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands
of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home! Christmas time, mistletoe and wine, children singing Christian
rhyme, logs on the fire and gifts on the tree, time to rejoice in the
good that we see. |
