Words of Wisdom on VisionIn developing our seminars and keynote presentations, we are fortunate to run across many words of wisdom. If you need a refreshing thought, idea, slogan, or profound nugget for an upcoming meeting, presentation, or lunch room bulletin board, take a look at the following words of wisdom on vision. Don't miss our other categories of Words of Wisdom.
Random Thoughts on VisionI think there is something, more important than believing:
Action! The world is full of dreamers, there aren't enough who will move
ahead and begin to take concrete steps to actualize their vision! A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is
an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more. We are limited, not by our abilities, but by our vision.
The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be
our doubts of today. Give us clear vision that we may know where to stand and
what to stand for―because unless we stand for something we shall
fall for anything! Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision
is simply passing the time. Action with vision is making a positive difference.
Vision looks inward and becomes duty. Vision looks outward
and becomes aspiration. Vision looks upward and becomes faith! The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has
sight, but has no vision! A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight,
and his punishment is that he see the dawn before the rest of the world!
The whole world steps aside for the person who knows where
he is going.
The great successful men of the world have used their
imagination; they think ahead and create their mental picture in all its
details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and
that a bit, but steadily buildingsteadily building. We think too small, like the frog at the bottom of the
well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced,
he would have an entirely different view. Some people see more in a walk around the block than others
see in a trip around the world. Most people are not really free. They are confined by
the niche in the world that they carve out for themselves. They limit
themselves to fewer possibilities by the narrowness of their vision. Vision is the art of seeing things invisible. Throughout the centuries there were men who took first
steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision. To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize,
then plan ... believe ... act! With vision there is no room to be frightened. No reason
for intimidation. It's time to march forward! Let's be confident and positive!
To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief
at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing.
