July – Half-way Home

July July represents the beginning of the second half of the year. Let’s hope it’s more productive than the first half has been.

If you’re trying to lose weight, July is not the month for you. Take a look at the number of days in this month honoring some type of food … most of it fattening, but delicious.

“Dog Days” begin in early July, when the hot sultry weather of summer usually starts. Of course, Independence Day kicks off our love affair with vacations, picnics, fireworks, boats, grills and insect sprays. Summer school is under way for many students and the Major League Baseball All-Star game is played in the middle of the month.
